
TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo commenced a series of visits to Southeast Sulawesi and Maluku. Jokowi was scheduled to come to several regions, one of which is to distribute fuel cash aid, also known as, BLT BBM.
Jokowi would also monitor the aid distribution from the Manpower Ministry for workers affected by the fuel price hike. The amount is up to Rp600,000 as compensation for the increase in the price of subsidized fuel, Pertalite and Solar.
"[President Jokowi]will ensure that it will be distributed in cities that are hard to reach," said Head of the Presidential Secretariat Heru Budi Hartono in a written statement on Monday, September 26, 2022.
Boarding the Indonesian Air Force's Boeing 737-400 aircraft, the President departed and took off from Halim Perdanakusuma Airport, East Jakarta, at around 12:00 hours Jakarta time. The trip takes approximately 2 hours and 40 minutes.
Upon landing at Haluoleo International Airport, South Konawe of Southeast Sulawesi, the President, and his entourage would take off for Betoambari Airport in Baubau City, Buton Island.
From there, the visit continued to Ternate City, North Maluku Province. Sofifi, which is located near Baubau, or precisely in North Oba District, Tidore Islands City, North Maluku would be the President’s last destination.
Jokowi was accompanied by Manpower Minister Ida Fauziyah and Investment Minister Bahlil Lahadalia on this official visit to the two provinces.
